2008 ONTARIO MINIATURES
The Miniature clubs of London invite you to join us on our "veranda" to survey the "view" from here. The green of fresh grass, the pink of apple blossoms and the yellow of lemonade will bring an atmosphere of spring, as we gather for another weekend of miniature-making, friendship and fun.
London is known as the "Forest City", and its tree-lined streets are home to nearly half a million citizens. London is world-renowned for its research and educational facilities associated with the University of Western Ontario and Fanshawe College. It also boasts many cultural institutions, such as museums, symphony and theatre.
The Lamplighter Inn is a Best Western hotel on Wellington Road, easily accessed from the 401 Highway. As well, London is serviced by bus, train and an international airport.
Full day and one-and-a-half day workshops will be offered on Saturday and Sunday, as well as half day classes on both days. Round-table workshops will be conducted on Sunday morning.
A splendid display of local miniature talent will be on view all weekend, and an opportunity to buy or sell hand-crafted items will be available at the Artisans' Market.
